You know the drill. You pack a fire steel, a whistle, a compass, a handful of tinder, and a striker that’s barely adequate. It works—barely. It’s bulky, easy to lose, and the striker dulls after a few outings. We built a better way.
The FERROFIRE CacheONE is a 5-in-1 fire starter that redefines what a fire-starting tool should be. At its core is a Super-Duty 9/16″ thick ferro rod—thicker than standard rods, delivering more material per strike for bigger, hotter sparks. The integrated striker is machined from carbon alloy steel with two sharp edges, built to hold its edge strike after strike, season after season.
Why 3 inches works better than 4. The rod has a 3″ effective striking length (excluding threads). Most 4″ rods require you to grip the rod itself, wasting nearly an inch of usable length. The CacheONE’s extended handle lets you use every millimeter—better leverage, more control, more spark, less effort. It’s not shorter. It’s smarter.
The massive sealed capsule handle is a game-changer. Made from glass-filled nylon, it’s rugged yet lightweight. Inside the waterproof capsule cavity, you’ll find 9 fire plugs, a 120dB emergency whistle, and a liquid-filled compass—all stored securely, ready when you need them. Extra space for your own essentials. Two sealed caps keep everything dry in rain, snow, or stream crossings.
Whether you’re a weekend camper or a seasoned bushcrafter, the CacheONE delivers.

I bought these rods directly off their site and then saw they were cheaper on Amazon. I prefer not to buy from Amazon so I went directly to the source but wish I could have gotten at least as good of a deal directly from the source than from a 3rd party. I got everything in a couple days so no problem there.
